We are excited to announce this opportunity for north Arkansas Healthcare teams to improve their overdose response strategy! Join us on February 23rd for this 7-hour training carefully developed to help emergency department and primary care teams create a foundation for embedding peer recovery support specialists within their healthcare setting as a core overdose response strategy. The training will be provided by an emergency department physician, peer recovery specialists and other subject matter experts. Participants will receive 7 CEUs/CMEs, including 7 “trauma hours” as certified through the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Response Systems at the Arkansas Department of Health. Sessions include:
- Healthcare Staff and Peer Recovery Support Specialists
- Trauma Related to Opiate Use Disorder (OUD)
- Addressing Stigma in OUD
- Overdose Risk Screener and Safety Planning Intervention
- Successful Implementation Factors
- Workflow and Processes
