Wednesday’s presentation with Boston Mountain Rural Health Center, Inc. on their new Medication Assisted Treatment program opening in Mt. View sparked a great discussion on substance misuse and crisis management. We thank Stone County and those from surrounding areas for attending and advocating for your community as well as BMRHC for providing lifesaving treatment across the state.
Thursday found several ABHIN team members at the Region 3 Me Over Meth conference in Heber Springs. Project Manager Caitlyn Johnson participated in a dynamic panel lead by Peer Specialists Ashley Sanders and Joshua L Ramsey on Methamphetamine Addiction and Treatment. Project Coordinator Miste Trent provided information on safe medication disposal, suicide prevention, and drug trends via our ABHIN booth. Conference attendees heard from data experts, those with lived experience, and had the unique opportunity to participate in Art and Music Therapy. We sincerely thank the CRDC: Region 3 Prevention for involving us in this conference!
