Peers in the Emergency Department Training

Several members of the ABHIN team were in Eureka Springs last month to kick off the first Peers in the ED training for 6 different rural healthcare systems. This all-day event taught healthcare providers the knowledge and skills needed to effectively integrate peer support services within their organizations. The training is step one in our overdose response program that matches Peer Recovery Support Specialists and Healthcare Systems in an effort to reduce overdoses and save lives!

We thank Dr. Martin and Shawn McCown in addition to the team for their efforts in Friday’s presentation.
